Looking for a unique twist on the traditional hamburger? In this dish, you’ll be combining the typical ingredients that you would put on a burger into your recipe, cooking your dish, and serving it with a delicious, home-prepared burger gravy.
This dish is an easy-to-put-together meal with a short prep time, perfect for those nights when you want to try something new without dealing with the trial and error of a brand-new dish or a lengthy prep time.
The best part is that burgers are such an easy-to-please meal, so it works perfectly for the younger, picky eaters at home (just make the gravy optional for them).
In this recipe, you’ll be using some traditional burger ingredients but with a twist. One of these is the homemade ketchup you’ll be using. While there isn’t too much required for this dish, it is a great item to keep on hand for recipes and as a condiment to use with other meals.
Typical ketchup includes some definite Paleo no-nos – sugars, etc. – so you definitely want to prep this in advance and avoid any temptation to use a store-bought version.
What works better with burgers than a great side of fries? When you serve this main course, pick from some great Paleo fry options. While we always love the tasty sweet potato fry, there are tons of other veggies you can transform for this purpose too. If you’re looking for a lighter option, try serving this burger with a yummy salad.
