A heartfelt goodbye and a new beginning: Shawn Seiler's journey with Gering Public Schools.
A leader's legacy and a new chapter await.
Gering Public Schools bids farewell to Shawn Seiler, a dedicated Activities Director, who has served the district with passion and commitment for over a decade and a half. Seiler, a trusted figure since 2009, has worn many hats, from Assistant Principal to Principal, and most recently, Activities Director. His impact on the district's curriculum, leadership, and community engagement has been profound and long-lasting.
"I am forever grateful for the opportunities Gering Public Schools afforded me. It's been an honor to serve and lead alongside such incredible staff, students, and leaders. As I transition to my new role, I carry with me the lessons and experiences that have shaped me," Seiler reflects.
But here's where it gets controversial... Seiler's departure leaves a void, but it also presents an exciting opportunity for the district to find a visionary leader to continue building upon the strong foundation of Bulldog pride and tradition.
And this is the part most people miss... Seiler's new role as Area Director for Fellowship of Christian Athletes (FCA) is a testament to his dedication to youth and community. His impact will continue to resonate, even as he embarks on this new adventure.
Superintendent Dr. Nicole Regan acknowledges Seiler's invaluable contributions, "Shawn's leadership has been instrumental in fostering a culture of excellence. We are forever grateful for his service and wish him all the best in his new chapter."
As the district prepares for a smooth transition in July, the search for the next Activities Director is set to begin. Will the new leader continue the legacy, or bring a fresh perspective? Only time will tell.
